Mini Massage for Quick Relief
Sometimes a full session is not what you need. You need thirty minutes on the shoulder that has been locked up all week, or forty-five minutes focused on the specific spot that is keeping you from sleeping.
The Mini Session is designed for that. These are shorter, targeted appointments for existing clients who know exactly where they need work, or for anyone who wants concentrated attention on a particular area without the time commitment of a longer session. Some people book a mini for a specific injured area. Some come in for a quick upper-body session between meetings. Others choose head, neck, hands, and feet when they want to step out of their day for half an hour and let their nervous system settle.
As with every session at Alacrity Massage & Wellness, the work is a partnership. You know your body better than anyone, what you are noticing, what has been flaring up, what feels different this week. I bring 22 years of training and the ability to hear what your tissue is telling me. We start with what you came in for, and follow what we find together from there. Nothing is scripted.

Speak up during the session if something is not working. Pressure, focus area, pace, all of it can shift in the moment. Your feedback while we work is one of the most useful things you can give me.

After Care
Drink water and slow down afterward. The work continues for hours after you leave the table. Hydration and a lighter rest of the day let your body integrate.

Take Care Of Yourself
Build self-care between sessions. Stretching, walking, breathwork, and sleep. The session is a part of your care, not all of it. What you do between visits is what makes the changes last.

Mini Sessions are offered in two lengths: 30 minutes for $60 or 45 minutes for $90. Sessions are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with online booking available 24 hours a day.

Mini Sessions work best when you have a specific area or pattern you want focused attention on, rather than a full integrated session. Common reasons clients book Mini Sessions: focused neck and shoulder work, lower back relief, jaw and face work for headache patterns, or hand and foot work for desk workers and people on their feet all day. They are also useful for existing clients who want a quicker tune-up between regular sessions.

Yes. A 45-minute Mini Session is a workable starting point if you have a specific area you want addressed and a clear sense of what you are looking for. If you are new to professional massage or unsure what your body needs, The Alacrity Massage at 60 minutes often gives more space for the initial conversation and clinical assessment that helps shape ongoing work. Either is a fine place to begin.

The session draws on the same modalities as the longer Alacrity Massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and Swedish technique, applied to your focus area in whatever combination your body indicates that day. The depth and approach adapt to what you are working with and what your body is asking for.

Sessions are scheduled in advance based on the time block booked, so adding time during the session is not always possible if the next appointment is already on the schedule. If you think you may want a longer session, booking the longer length up front is the most reliable path. If a Mini Session was the right choice and you discover you want more next time, you can always book a longer session for your next visit.
